Jerry and his brother Matt LOOOOOVE Meatballs. They always get big smiles on their faces when Sarah and I say we are going to make them. We usually make Italian Meatballs with a spicy marinara sauce and pasta.
Meatballs are great on a toasted Italian roll with some provolone cheese.
1 pound ground beef 3 cloves garlic, minced 1 Tablespoon basil ¾ Tablespoon oregano 1 Tablespoon parsly 1 egg, slightly beaten ½ cup Italian bread crumbs ½ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese ¼ teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon black pepper ½ cup milk
Preheat oven to 350º In a bowl, mix together all ingredients. It is easiest to use your hands. Do not over mix or the result will be very dense! Roll meatballs into balls (the size is up to you) and place on a baking sheet. Lining the sheet with foil will make for easy clean-up. Bake for 30 minutes. Stir meatballs into favorite sauce and serve on top of pasta.
I’ve also made small meatballs & put them in a crockpot with sauce. This works great as a party appetizer.
Enjoy, Jerry & Roni !!!
