Mummy Dogs & Spidey Dogs

Halloween is just around the corner. Mummy Dogs and Spidey Dogs will sure to help get into the Halloween spirit. It’s not much of a recipe. A package of hotdogs, a tube of crescent rolls and a little imagination is all it takes. Super cute and fun. Let us know how they turn out.

Mummy Dogs and Spidey Dogs
Ingredients
  • 1 package (8) hotdogs
  • 1 tube (8) crescent roll dough
  • Ketchup and mustard for serving and decorating the eyeballs
Instructions
Mummy Dogs
  1. Unroll the crescent roll dough.
  2. Cut the dough into long thin strips.
  3. For legs, slice hotdog longways about 1/3 of the length.
  4. Slice two arms. See video below for tutorial.
  5. Wrap the hotdog with the dough strips in a mummy fashion.
  6. They will plump during cooking.
Spidey Dogs
  1. Cut hotdog in half.
  2. For each half, cut three slices longways about 1/3 of the length into the hotdog. That will make 4 legs.
  3. Repeat to other side.
  4. Place a small rectangle of dough around the middle.
  5. They will plump during cooking.
To bake:
  1. Preheat oven to 350º
  2. Place Mummy's and Spidey's onto a cookie sheet.
  3. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
Decorate
  1. Using a toothpick, dot eyes with ketchup and mustard.
