Pico De Gallo

Oh, how I miss tomatoes from my grandmothers garden. I could eat them like apples. Here in Las Vegas, tomatoes do not have the same taste. So, I buy the little Cherub tomatoes (similar to grape tomatoes). Not quite the same, but it’ll do.

Serve Pico De Gallo with tortilla chips as an appetizer or snack, mix with avocado for Guacamole, or serve as a topping to Mexican dishes.

Ingredients
  • 10 oz tomatoes , diced (I use Cherub tomatoes)
  • 1 small yellow onion , diced
  • 3 cloves garlic , minced
  • 1 jalapeños , seeded and chopped
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 4 Tbs fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
Instructions
  1. Mix ingredients together in a bowl.

Pico De Gallo

Again, we like our food spicy. The jalapeños can be omitted for a milder flavor.
